Andersen EV - Flowing Textile
Project type
Competition (Participated) - Product Design
Date
December 2023
Inspired by textile three-dimensional walls, my concept revolves around creating a facade characterized by flowing structural elements. The design prioritizes form, function, fastidious attention to detail, luxury, quality, innovation, and excellence.
The facade features unique controlled dips crafted from Accoya Cotswold Oak wood, influenced by existing stainless steel plates. The extruded wood dimensions begin at 100mm x 6mm x 340mm and gradually decrease as they approach the stainless steel plate, with the smallest extrusion measuring 10mm x 6mm x 340mm. This meticulous variation in size contributes to the facade's dynamic visual appeal.
Purity, simplicity, and craftsmanship are embodied through the use of extrusion techniques and LED strip lighting. Each of the ten extruded wood elements is carefully illuminated with LED strip lighting at the end, accentuating the new intervention with a touch of sophistication and innovation.
Through the fusion of form, function, and meticulous craftsmanship, my facade design transcends conventional boundaries, embodying luxury, quality, and excellence. The innovative integration of Accoya Cotswold Oak wood and LED lighting not only elevates the aesthetic appeal but also enhances the functionality of the facade, creating a visually striking and technologically advanced architectural intervention.
