Pavilion in Thailand
Project Type
Architecture Technology Project
Date
February 2022
The project encompassed a two-week collaborative endeavour situated in Thailand, tasked with the creation of a pavilion primarily utilizing fabric as the main material. The project scope centred on designing a pavilion capable of withstanding the region's prevalent rainfall while accommodating the occupancy of two individuals.
In collective decision-making, our group opted to employ denim for its thermal insulation properties, strategically integrating it into the pavilion's floors, walls, and ceilings. This deliberate choice ensured optimal comfort and climate control within the pavilion's interior, notwithstanding the tropical climate conditions.
Through meticulous planning and execution, we successfully realized a pavilion that not only met the functional requirements but also harmonized with its natural surroundings, presenting a compelling synthesis of form, function, and environmental sensitivity.
