Expressive Gown

This project involved collaborative efforts to design and create a formative gown, coupled with the development of a narrative and character profile. We aimed to seamlessly integrate storytelling with garment construction, culminating in a multimedia presentation to showcase our collective vision.

We experimented with paper concept models, employing manipulation techniques to iterate and refine our designs. Emphasizing effective teamwork, we ensured each aspect of the gown reflected our narrative and character development.

Utilising our photography skills, we captured footage of the gown within the designated site, leveraging Adobe Premiere Pro to craft a compelling video presentation. This multimedia approach effectively communicated our character's journey, enriching the viewer's understanding of our project's narrative depth and thematic resonance.

To celebrate our collaborative work, we organized an exhibition in Margate to display the gown alongside our narrative and character profiles. The exhibition provided a platform to engage with the public and share our creative process, reinforcing the interdisciplinary nature of our project.

Through collaborative design and multimedia presentation, we successfully merged narrative storytelling with garment construction, resulting in a visually captivating and thematically resonant project. Our cohesive efforts underscored the power of teamwork in bringing creative visions to life, leaving a lasting impression on both our team and exhibition attendees.
